Just this week, I brought the word that Jiu Jitsu, the new martial arts sci-fi film starring Alain Moussi, Nicolas Cage, Tony Jaa, Frank Grillo and JuJu Chan had started production. The film which is being helmed by Kickboxer: Retaliation director Dimitri Logothetis combines the best of the action and sci-fi genres and with the talent involved, the fight sequences should rock the house!

Now there is a new poster circulating which showcases a very serious looking and battle ready Alain Moussi and it promises that “from the darkness, the ultimate fighter rises.” Take a look below!

Official Synopsis: Every six years, an ancient order of expert Jiu Jitsu fighters faces a vicious alien in a battle to protect Earth. For thousands of years, the fighters that protect Earth have played by the rules…until now. When celebrated war hero Jake Barnes (Moussi) is defeated by Brax, the Alien invader, the future of humanity hangs in the balance. Injured and suffering from amnesia, Jake is rescued by Wylie (Cage), Keung (Jaa), Harrigan (Grillo) and his team of fellow Jiu Jitsu fighters. They must help Jake to regain his strength in order to band together and defeat Brax in an epic battle that will once again determine the fate of mankind.

A press conference was also held to promote the film and all the stars and director were in attendance and check out some pics from the event below courtesy of award winning Hong Kong director and action master Antony Szeto who was on hand at the event!

Also starting in the film are Rick Yune from the original The Fast And The Furious and Olympus Has Fallen as well as Marie Avgeropoulos who have not arrived on the production as of yet.

This film is certainly shaping up to deliver the goods and I can’t wait to see the first footage down the road. It certainly bodes well that Moussi, Cage, Grillo and Jaa are all fighting on the same team. Expect maximum damage on this one from this all-star action team!
