The gunslinger is back, the West is bracing for another showdown, and THE LAST HEROES OF RIO BRAVO is raising the stakes for the final chapter of Ivan Turchin’s saga. Now in production in California, the new western brings Alexander Nevsky back as the mysterious gunslinger-turned-sheriff, promising another hard-charging chapter in a trilogy that is heading toward its epic conclusion.

Following Gunfight at Rio Bravo and Taken from Rio Bravo, THE LAST HEROES OF RIO BRAVO pushes Turchin into another dangerous chapter. The story centers on a reluctant sheriff who is forced to face a ruthless outlaw gang holding a small town hostage, placing its wary lawman at the center of a mounting threat and a high-stakes western crisis.
The Rio Bravo Saga So Far
Gunfight at Rio Bravo kicks off the saga with gritty, indie-action swagger, introducing Ivan Turchin as a Russian immigrant and gunslinger who rides into a dusty small Texas town and throws in with Marshal Austin Carter and Sheriff Vernon Kelly. Outgunned but unbroken, this scrappy trio digs in to defend the town against the Hellhounds, serving up rugged western atmosphere, close-quarters shootouts, and hard-charging, against-the-odds heroics that launch the Rio Bravo legacy.
Set in 1874 East Texas, Taken from Rio Bravo cranks up the tension as Turchin and Sheriff Kelly tear across the frontier in relentless pursuit of the Posse after five women are kidnapped, with the gang racing to sell them at the Mexican border. Lean, rough-edged, and relentless, it pushes the stakes higher, deepens the bond between these battle-tested lawmen, and locks in the raw, indie western energy that propels audiences straight into THE LAST HEROES OF RIO BRAVO and the next chapter of the saga.
Nevsky Steps Takes Over Directing Duties for the Final Outing and Adds a Stacked Action Genre Cast!
Nevsky is directing the film from a screenplay by Craig Hamann, continuing the creative partnership behind a story built around danger, survival, and the hard-edged atmosphere of the American West. Nevsky previously directed Black Rose, which starred Nevsky and Kristanna Loken.
The returning western world is backed by a formidable ensemble cast. Lorenzo Lamas, Nick Baillie, Olivier Gruner, James Chalk, and Tatiana Neva round out the principal cast, adding veteran presence and fresh energy to the film’s final showdown. With Turchin once again at the heart of the story, the cast is set to bring the trilogy’s escalating danger to the screen.

Behind the scenes, Stefan Colson, Sam Wilkerson, and Corey Brown of BoatShoes Entertainment are executive producers. Nevsky produces for Hollywood Storm, while Baillie produces for Bishop Road Productions, bringing the production teams together for the next and final chapter of the Rio Bravo trilogy.
“THE LAST HEROES OF RIO BRAVO brings the trilogy to an epic conclusion with bigger action sequences and higher stakes for our hero,” said Nevsky.

Prestige International Pictures, a Los Angeles-based film sales, financing and production company, will represent THE LAST HEROES OF RIO BRAVO at the upcoming American Film Market (AFM). A worldwide release is scheduled for 2027, setting the stage for audiences around the globe to witness Ivan Turchin’s final showdown. With production underway in California, Alexander Nevsky returning to the role, and the reluctant sheriff facing a ruthless outlaw gang, the trilogy is charging toward its most consequential chapter yet.
