DENZEL WASHINGTON & CHRISTOPHER McQUARRIE LOCK IN FOR NEW UNTITLED THRILLER
Lock it in, action fans. Denzel Washington is reportedly set to star in a new untitled thriller directed by Christopher McQuarrie, with United Artists and Amazon MGM Studios producing.
The screenplay comes from Scott Barkan and Gregg Zehentner. The story reportedly follows a former police detective diagnosed with terminal brain cancer who receives compassionate release — and walks straight back into the estranged family he left behind.
McQuarrie behind the camera. Washington in front of it. That pairing alone is enough to put this one on the radar.
SPECULATION ZONE: No title, casting, choreography, or further plot details have been confirmed. But if McQuarrie brings his signature grounded, high-stakes action sensibility, and Washington delivers the commanding screen presence he’s built a career on, this has the makings of something special. Again — that’s speculation, not confirmation. We’ll report the real intel as it lands.
Mark your calendars: the untitled thriller is reportedly targeting an October 1, 2027 theatrical release.
Stay tactical, Action-Flix faithful — we’ll be back the second new intel drops.
