Let me preface this by saying that I have been extremely busy over the course of the last few months. It’s been nothing short of insane how busy it’s been as I’ve been getting my work ready to open to the public. Hopefully this will all subdue soon but until then I’m trying my best to update all things action for you guys.
With that said, I have to throw some love to martial arts/action powerhouse and blossoming filmmaker Bren Foster as he has a new movie coming soon called Relentless. Foster follows up his freshman directorial effort Life After Fighting (which was amazing) with this brutal and unflinching tale of a former soldier turned underground fighter battling cancer. Stricken with the unthinkable, Foster stars as a man who must make a decision that will affect his family in the long run while trying to fight for his life literally.
A new teaser poster and a few choice images have hit the film’s official IMDb page so I figured I would share with all of you as I’m extremely excited to see what Foster dishes out for his sophomore effort. Just like Life After Fighting, the martial arts star is wearing all the hats with this production as he not only directs once again but he wrote and produces per his Spinning Plates Production Banner just like last time. Spirit Media will be handling worldwide distribution hopefully this year. Check out Foster looking bald and simply bruising below!

The story of a former soldier and an underground fighter who is diagnosed with cancer and is left with the decision to keep fighting to provide for his family in the long run. The joint battle with cancer versus the battle in the arena.
Joining Foster in the film are Matt Passmore (Jigsaw, North Shore, The Glades), Amanda Righetti (Friday the 13th, Reagan, The Mentalist), Aaron Glenane (Snowpiercer, Killing Ground), Callan Mulvey (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Outlaw King) and Matuse (The Fall Guy, Mad Max Furiosa, Last King of the Cross). Quite the international cast that Foster has gathered for the film which they are describing Relentless as “high-octane martial arts action with deeply human storytelling.”
“RELENTLESS isn’t just about fighting – it’s about what drives us to keep going when everything else is lost,” Bren Foster stated via FilmInk. “Filming in the ever-evolving creative centre of Western Sydney allowed us to capture the grit, energy, and authentic feel of the story – bringing a slice of local Australian life to a global audience. This film delivers high-impact action, but also emotional truth, exploring love, sacrifice, and the legacy we leave behind.”
Along with the ultra rad new teaser poster, several new behind the scenes images have also made their way to the public and you can check them out in the gallery below!

I have no doubt in my mind that Foster will deliver the bone breaking goods in his junior effort as Life After Fighting was a deeply involving mix of high stakes and emotional drama fused with the most brutal and hard-hitting martial arts action ever captured on screen. The climax alone was a literal 45-minute marathon of some of the most extreme, jaw dropping fight action ever and the characters were all high class making the audience care about what happens to the good guys and seeing the bad guys get theirs.
Relentless looks to ramp up the human emotions even more so one might need some Kleenex with this one if onions are around. Foster is rapid fire kinetic energy in motion that serves up some truly devastating and brutal fight sequences so expect this film to top many best of lists the year it comes out.
I need first look footage like STAT so hopefully Foster delivers some soon as the legions of fans are waiting. Relentless look to be this generations Lionheart but with even more weighty heartfelt drama to be had and blistering martial arts combat sequences that are second to none.
In the meantime, once again, check out my two exclusive chats with Foster for Life After Fighting on The Action Fix below!
