While the rest of us who were unable to see The Furious when it debuted at the TIFF last year wait for what will probably be the best action flick of 2026, we give you that film’s star Xia Mia in another upcoming fist and feet pounding epic. Xie Miao is back and he’s more than ready to rumble in the third entry of the crime thriller franchise Fight Against Evil. The new international trailer for Fight Against Evil 3 is upon us and here we bear witness to the next gen martial arts action star doing what he does best, which is kicking ample ass and taking even more names. Miao is the next evolution, and we have the adrenaline-soaked footage for your\ courtesy of our friends over at Asian Film Fans!
Miao has actually been crushing it onscreen for decades, but I say next gen or new wave action star because audiences are finally seeing what we all have and that’s Miao is the legit goods. He first made his martial arts screen debut years ago as a child starring alongside action god Jet Li in My Father the Hero AKA The Enforcer when it hit the U.S. back in 1995. He was certainly a child martial arts prodigy, and he has only excelled as time has wore on. Most recently, he has turned in blistering performances in the current action films Hunt the Wicked, the Eye for an Eye films and, of course, the upcoming The Furious.

Miao reprises his role of police officer Li Hongqi who is battling an endless wave of crime. The first film hit in 2021 with the sequel actually being a prequel. This time around, Miao’s Li travels to paradise to marry the love of his life but instead finds himself deploying his insane skill set when crime runs rampant once again. Paradise turns into hell as Li embarks on a savage mission of justice which will stretch the limits of his police and fighting attributes.
Genre star Philip Ng (Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In) stars along with Miyi Huang, Zhijia Cui (Jian Bing Man) and Diana Lin (Big World). Bingjia Yang directs as he is reunited with Miao from Eye for an Eye and Eye for an Eye 2. He also directed the second installment of Fight Against Evil, so this definitely bodes well for the action which was directed by action maestro Du Xiaohui who did the set pieces for Eye for an Eye 2.
The movie is set to hit Chinese theaters on January 30th. There is no further release dates set for Fight Against Evil 3, but we will let you know as well as when The Furious gets a launch date! Xie Miao, remember his name!
