I still contend that Frank Grillo is still one of the hardest working actors in Hollywood and still seems to have a new release hitting just about every other month. You can never have enough Grillo and whether he’s doing the action star thing or mixing it up with other genres, most notably starring as Rick Flag Sr. in James Gunn’s DCU, he always commands the screen and never, NEVER, phones it in. Grillo’s latest titled Misdirection pairs him with fellow MCU alum Olga Kurylenko for a blistering new heist thriller where a massive web of secrets, deception, and deadly consequences wait for them. No matter what transpires, never bet against Grillo. Check out the new trailer below!
Misdirection follows a couple driven to carry out a series of high-end heists to pay off a dangerous mob debt. When their latest break-in — targeting a prominent defense attorney — spirals out of control, the pair find themselves caught in a web of secrets, deception, and deadly consequences.
Misdirection is directed by Kevin Lewis who is best known for the Willy’s Wonderland with Nicolas Cage. From viewing the trailer, it looks like Olga and co-star Oliver Trevena didn’t get the memo that Grillo is nobody’s pawn and even though this looks like more full-throttle thriller than action flick, it still has enough adrenaline to satisfy hardcore fans. Kurylenko has also proven herself a force to be reckoned with in action-thrillers in past years so pairing these two up in a blistering, twisty thrill ride is a chef’s kiss.
Misdirection is set to debut on Digital and Video on Demand on February 10, 2026.
