For those of you complaining about the PG-13 rating for Predator: Badlands probably won’t be swayed by a new clip that 20th Century Films has unleashed but there are those of us that think it still looks pretty rad. The latest entry of the franchise sees Dek, a Yautja looking to prove himself to his clan, navigating a hostile world of hurt where nothing is safe and there is no place to hide. Filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg looks to switch up the IP and with it this one will certainly divide fans but for those looking to accept change, this one might just deliver the creature gore and brutal combat the intergalactic hunter is known for.

Predator: Badlands, which stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator (Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Elle Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.

Predator: Badlands marks Trachtenberg’s third foray into the Predator universe having already created 2022’s Prey and this year’s animated gore fest Predator: Killer of Killers which was a savage anthology film that saw various Predators in brutal combat with some of the best warriors in history. I feel that with what Trachtenberg has already delivered with the franchise, he deserves the benefit of the doubt.
