As if we didn’t have enough full-throttle, bone cracking, blood spraying action this past weekend with the third annual Big Bad Film Fest, XYZ Films says hold my beer with a new, devastating clip for their upcoming stunt spectacular The Furious. Starring Joes Taslim (The Night Comes for Us, The Raid) and Miao Xie who is best known for such body damaging pics like the recent Hunt the Wicked and the sensational Eye for an Eye movies star in an epic fight fueled thriller from celebrated action director Kenji Tanigaki (Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In, Lie Tan, Enter the Fat Dragon). Check out the stunt drenched new sequence below!
The official synopsis for The Furious reads: In a small Southeast Asian country, skilled martial artist Wang Wei’s daughter Rainy is abducted by a child trafficking ring. Wang Wei sets out on a rampage, confronting both the corrupt police and the criminals, determined to rescue his kidnapped daughter. In the process, he encounters Navin, a journalist tirelessly trying to solve his wife’s disappearance. Together, the two unleash their formidable combat skills, fighting their way through dangerous obstacles and manage to unravel crucial clues and successfully rescue Rainy and a group of innocent children, dismantling the notorious human trafficking syndicate and bringing justice to the exploited and vulnerable.

The stacked cast not only features Taslim and Xie but also includes Taslim’s The Raid co-star Yayan Ruhian along with Brian Le (Shang-Chi, Gladiator Underground), Yayan Ruhian (The Raid 2), Joey Iwanaga (Rurouni Kenshin) and Jeeja Yanin (Triple Threat, Chocolate). Frank Hui, Zhilong Lei, and Tin Shu Mak penned the script that promises all-out martial warfare of the highest caliber and judging from this exclusive clip that just dropped and serious action fanatics will be able to scratch that action itch upon release.
The clip which features Miao Xie in action is just a sampling of the pulverizing action design in store. The hits hit hard, and the bodies hit the floor even harder. Tanigaki is a true master of his craft and The Furious looks to be his martial arts masterpiece. This one has just shot up my must-see list even further as if i wasn’t excited already.
Wide release intel is still unknown for The Furious at this time, but it is poised and ready to debut at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness. Lock N Load for more to come from The Furious!
