When the trailer finally dropped for the long in development reboot of Red Sonja, I was immediately on board as the footage looks brutal, bloody, unflinching and downright epic. Matilda Lutz who plays the titular warrior looks sensational in the role and it doesn’t look like director M.J. Bassett has skimped on any of the action and bloodletting during the film’s runtime. The movie has instantly shot up my must-see list and when it hits next month, I think we might have a new franchise on our hands if the film can capture an audience. I will do what I can to help get it out to the masses so fingers crossed that the movie is as good as the trailer made it out to be and that it is a modest hit.
The cast of Red Sonja including Lutz as well as Robert Sheehan, Martyn Ford & Wallis Day did their due diligence inn helping to promote the sword and sorcery visual feast by walking the SDCC convention and partaking in multiple interviews to hype up the film.
