What happens when a corrupt senator needs to terminate his bonkers stepdaughter with extreme prejudice due to the fact that she is a massive liability to him getting re-elected? Oh, and throw in the fact that when he sends in elite assassins to get the job done only to discover that said stepdaughter is an unstoppable killing machine. Well, you get ample amounts of bullets, bloodshed, hyper-kinetic action sequences and toms of politically incorrect black humor in the film called Killing Mary Sue.
Samuel Goldwyn Films has given us an exclusive clip for the action-comedy that just dropped on VOD and Digital last week and you can view it below along with the bonkers official trailer!
Starring Sierra McCormick (THE LAST STOP IN YUMA COUNTY), Dermot Mulroney (ANYONE BUT YOU), Sean Patrick Flanery (THE BOONDOCK SAINTS), Jake Busey (STRANGER THINGS), French Stewart (BOB TREVINO LIKES IT), Kym Whitley (ACT YOUR AGE), and Jesse Kove (COBRA KAI), the action-packed black comedy follows a corrupt senator who arranges for the murder of his biggest liability— his erratic, burnout step-daughter—only for her to unwittingly discover her natural talent as an untouchable killer.

For some reason, Killing Mary Sue gives me The Big Hit vibes with its eclectic merging of bloody action set pieces merged with the best unapologetic humor. You remember The Big Hit, don’t you? that’s the 1998 Mark Wahlberg actioner featuring Lou Diamond Phillips and the always camera-ready Antonio Sabato Jr. where a trio of inept killers must dodge endless rounds of ammo when one of them falls in love with the girl they were hired to kidnap. It had some of the best action choreography of the day and this one looks to outdo that film with what looks to be some pretty rad adrenaline laced sequences as the actors chew the scenery at the same time.
Killing Mary Sue hails from director James Sunshine from a script he also wrote. The film assembles the most motley crew of genre talent including Dermot Mulroney, Sean Patrick Flanery, Jake Busey and Sensei Kreese himself Martin Kove. This is a definite must watch now so check out the exclusive clip and trailer here, then grab some popcorn, soda and your favorite box office candy and check this one out ASAP!
