Here’s a little bit of some interesting casting new. Cynthia Erivo, who is best known for the Oscar winning film Wicked and her mad singing skills has recently enlisted to star in a new action film from John Wick helmer Chad Stahelski and his 87Eleven production banner and Lionsgate films. There isn’t a lot of intel on this one yet, but we do know that Erivo will star along with Teo Yoo (Past Lives, The Recruit) and Isabel May (1883) and that Stahelski will serve as producer on this one with Takashi Doscher directing from a script he also penned.
There is next to nothing to talk about, but we do know that the film will be held in the corporate world but will have a Samurai twist to it which makes this one intriguing to say the least. Stahelski produces along with Alex Young and Jason Spitz and shooting is said to commence this June.
Dosher is best known for directing the 2019 film Only. He has also directed several episodes of the hit NBC series Chicago P.D. so he is familiar with action sequences, but this one will certainly test his limits as 87Eleven and Stahalksi are known for their hyper-kinetic and fierce action design.
