It’s almost time to reload for fans of Chinese filmmaker Dante Lam as his latest Operation film is set to hit North American theaters this February. Known as Operation Leviathan overseas, the film will now be known as Operation Hadal here in the states. Lam’s previous military entries in this franchise include the stellar Operation Mekong and the even better Operation Red Sea. From previous released international trailers which you can see here, fans of explosive, immersive and in your face military action are about to get another healthy dose of bombastic chaos.
Along with the news that the film is set for a limited engagement on starting on February 28th, Well Go USA has issued brand new key art, images and trailer which you can now view below!
Official Synopsis: Mercenaries have occupied an offshore platform in Chinese territorial waters by force. The Chinese Navy sets sail to repel the invaders as the Jiao Long commando team prepares for a fierce fight in the deep sea.

Operation Hadal stars an eclectic international cast including Xuan Huang, Yosh Yu and Bryan Larkin.

Along with the usual expertly choreographed tactical action design, death defying slo-mo running and gunning, close quarters battles and explosive practical effects and stunt work, fans can expect to get wet with this one as submarines action also plays an important part of the proceedings. You can also expect a healthy dose of Chinese bravado and patriotism to go along with the theatrics but that’s to be expected with the new censorship protocols in place in that region nowadays. That’s still a small price to pay for some of the best tactical mayhem you’ll see onscreen this year.
