With only a few months left until what will hopefully be another feather in the cap (pun intended) in the MCU, Marvel Studios has unleashed a brand-new special look at Captain America: Brave New World. Forgoing the dark humor and hijinks of Deadpool & Wolverine, this new Cap is going for a more Winter Soldier feels as things are getting ultra-serious once again. Not that there weren’t any stakes in the last film, but this one looks darker and more grounded. Check out the new video below!
Synopsis: After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.
The new look is locked n loaded with several sensational action set pieces, and we get a better look at Danny Ramirez who is the new Falcon. Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns, better known as The Leader, and Liv Tyler who returns as Ross’s daughter, Betty returns as well. Tyler played the role in Edward Norton’s The Incredible Hulk so it’s awesome to see the MCU recognize that film once again. Giancarlo Esposito also stars as Sindwinder which was confirmed at this year’s SDCC. We also get a better look at Red Hulk which sees Harrison Ford taking over the role of General Ross now President Ross.
Julius Onah helms the film which Kevin Feige teased that it would be lower key similar to Captain America: The Winter Soldier. That suits me just fine as The Winter Soldier is one of my favorite comic book films of all time. That film is essentially a martial arts film so bring on the action design again with this newer version!
