One would admit that Taron Egerton isn’t a name you would associate with action cinema, but the young actor has made more than his share of actioners. From his starring role in The Kingsman films to the much-maligned Robin Hood (spoiler: I enjoyed it so sue me), Egerton has gotten physical plenty of times, and he’ll need that knowledge of good cardio for his latest thriller which is set to hit Netflix. Titled Carry-On, Egerton stars as a TSA agent who must break into action when a mysterious traveler forces him to let a suspicious piece of cargo make it onto a Christmas Eve flight. It’s Die Hard time as Egerton channels a little John McClane on Christmas in the new teaser!
Synopsis: A young TSA agent fights to outsmart a mysterious traveler who blackmails him into letting a dangerous package slip onto a Christmas Eve flight.
The film also stars Sofia Carson, Danielle Deadwyler, Logan Marshall-Green, Dean Norris, Sinqua Walls and Jason Bateman. Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise, Black Adam) who is currently working on the Cliffhanger reboot helms from a script penned by Michael Green, who polished up a first draft of the script from TJ Fixman.
Carry-On hits Netflix just in time for the holidays on December 13th!
