Set to hit theaters in May of 2025, the next Karate Kid film which will bridge the OG films with the reboot starring Jackie Chan has received both a title and logo to get fans excited. The next generation film will be called Karate Kid: Legends and it stars OG actor Raplh Maachio, Chan and Ben Wang who will play the next martial arts trained teenager. Macchio, of course, will reprise his role as Daniel LaRusso which he played in the first three films as well as the hit Netflix series Cobra Kai, and Chan will once again play Mr. Han from the 2010 remake.
The sixth film in the blockbuster franchise was written by Rob Lieber and directed by Jonathan Entwistle with additional cast members including Joshua Jackson, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen, Aramis Knight, Wyatt Oleff, and Jennifer-Lyn Christie.
Karate Kid: Legends will hit this year’s New York Comic Con as it will open the weekend long event at the Empire Stage in the Javits Center on Friday, October 18th from 7 pm to 8 pm. To celebrate the event, a new logo was unveiled courtesy of X and you can see it below!

The title and logo do not reveal anything in terms of plot details for Karate Kid: Legends. We do know, however, that the movie will center on a teenager from China, Li Fong, who makes the long move to the East Coast and thus begins his martial arts journey under the watchful tutelage of a strict but caring mentor which is most likely Mr. Han. The new film will also combine the original films, reboot and series in a shared Miyagi-verse so fans are excited to see what comes next.
Tie on those bandanas, prune those bonsais trees and center the ring because even though Cobra Kai is ending with this final season, the franchise is alive and well. Stay tuned!
