Donnie Yen is tipping the scales of justice and pulverizing the bad guys at the same time in his upcoming action-drama The Prosecutor which sees the action and martial arts icon returning to doing what he does best after starring in the disaster film Polar Rescue. Yen is attacking the judicial system with fists and feet of fury and the icon is back kicking ass after starring in the much-maligned previous effort.

The teaser is short but extremely sweet as it features a little snippet of Yen’s subway brawl utilizing all of his weapons. There are no English subtitles, but none are needed as Yen’s actions are bilingual. Fans will surely get their fill here and as soon as a more extended trailer hits, you’ll see it here!
The official synopsis, courtesy of our friend The Arty Dans at Asian Film Fans, reads: The Prosecutor is about a man who is framed for drug trafficking by a criminal syndicate in order to protect the identity of the real culprit. Yen plays the older version of the character whose case has been taken on a new prosecutor who risks his career to reveal the truth.

Ho Pong Mak (the Breakout Brothers trilogy) is in the director’s chair for this one with Kang Yu (Wu Xia, Big Brother) and Julian Cheung (All U Need is Love, The Grandmaster) rounding out the supporting cast. The Prosecutor is a Mandarin Motion Pictures and China’s Huace Pictures’ release.
