With the 2024 SDCC in our rear view mirror, all eyes were on the next major event happening this weekend which is D23 also known as the Disney Con which showcases Intel on all the upcoming projects from the house of mouse. Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige were on hand to bring fans more news about their slate of upcoming movies and TV series and the biggest winners were the highly anticipated Daredevil: Born Again which sees Charlie Cox returning as the Man Without Fear as well as Jon Bernthal as The Punisher.
A brand new logo was unveiled for the 2025 limited series and you can see it below!
The cast was on hand to greet the fans in attendance and along with the logo, the very first teaser was screened as well. The show promises to be as violent as the Netflix series and word has it that there will not be one but three separate Daredevil suits that Cox will employ on his campaign to fight crime which includes butting heads with Vincent D’Onfrio’s The Kingpin.
The trailer was leaked online and I did watch it and I can say that Daredevil: Born Again looks sensational with Cox killing it once again. Bernthal’s Punisher is teased in it as well and there is a sequence where Frank Castle and Matt Murdock are reunited with Castle holding an axe. Frank is also sporting his long hair/bearded look that he had going on in the Netflix series at the beginning before he trimmed down. We also get a very tense meeting between Murdock and Kingpin which looks to be everything fans could want. There are brief shots of the action design as well with the teaser showing off some of the fight sequences with Daredevil doing what he does best so be on the lookout for the official trailer release coming soon!
The series will hit Disney+ next March!
Fresh off their SDCC debut, Marvel’s first family The Fantastic Four was also teased more at D23 and there is a BTS image that was revealed that you can see below which shows the cast including Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bacharach and most notably, you can see Quinn as Johnny Storm sporting the new Fantastic Four suit too!
