I’ve been championing a wave of under appreciated or lesser known male action stars to make a killing in action cinema as of late in the likes of Aaron Eckhart, Louis Mandylor, and Chris Hemsworth’s other brother Luke so I feel it’s time to give the ladies their due. One such femme fatale that has been quietly slaying the competition for a few years now has to be Olga Kurykenko.
The gorgeous and accomplished actress has starred in a bevy of ultra-violent actioners with White Elephant, The Courier and the period epic Boudica to name just a few so with her newest high body count thriller Paradox Effect set to hit soon, it’s time fans of adrenaline laced cinema take notice of what this lethal lady has to offer.
Scroll below to see Kurylenko in action as a mother trying to reconnect with her daughter who is thrust into the dark and foreboding word of a vicious criminal empire who forces our stout heroine into a mission of life and death. Harvey Keitel also stars in the pulsating new crime thriller riddled with bullets!
Official Synopsis: An innocent woman is forced to confront a dangerous kingpin who has kidnapped her young daughter and is holding her for ransom. She teams up with a corrupt Interpol agent, whose son is also being held hostage, to rip off various criminals to raise the ransom to save their offspring. Together they have one hour to save their families from the wrath of bigwig.

Scott Weintrob helms the film which sees Kurylenko proving that you don’t have to be Rambo to take on the bad guys. Running and gunning as only Kurylenko can is demonstrated to full authority in the new trailer. This time, however, Kurykenko plays a rougher around the edges character with immense sympathetic appeal to go along with all the onscreen ass whooping.
See for yourself when Paradox Effect blasts its way onto Digital & VOD this fall on September 24th!
