Antonio Banderas is one of the few remaining old school Hollywood stars, no question. Couple that with the fact that Banderas is regarded as an action cinema star only furthers his mystique. Known mostly for Robert Rodriguez’s Desperado franchise as well as being the best thing in Expendables 3, the man scratches action film fanatics’s itches on several occasions.
Now he’s teaming up with two more of the best that Hollywood has to offer in Jonathan Rhys Meyers (who is no slouch in action himself) and Oscar nominee Melissa Leo in director Jon Keeyes upcoming action-thriller The Clean Up Crew where the latter two play a team of crime scene cleaners who proceed to have a very bad day when they stumble upon a lot of cash and must endure the wrath of a ruthless crime boss played by Banderas. Bullets, blood, dark humor and bear escapes are in order with the new trailer for the film that hits Digital and On Demand on August 20th! Partake in all the crime thriller shenanigans below!
Official Synopsis: When a crime scene clean up crew (Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Melissa Leo) discovers a briefcase full of money, they must out smart a criminal kingpin (Antonio Banderas) and corrupt FBI agents who want it back.
As solid as Banderas is when playing for the forces of good or the anti-hero role, Banderas also excels massively when playing over the top antagonists and here, he has a lot to chew his skills with. There’s no shortage of R rated action nether with a pretty impressive looking body count so be on the lookout for this one when it hits later next month.
