All good things must come to an end and sadly we are about to say goodbye to the reigning champion of nostalgia that kicked audiences in the butt ever since it arrived on scene. After launching an announcement teaser back in May, Netflix has just unveiled an extended trailer for the final season of Cobra Kai which will be broken up into a 3-part epic event. The series which expanded The Karate Kid universe is a massive hit and now Daniel, Johnny and the whole gang are about to go out fists and feet blazing!!!! check out the newest trailer for Part 1 of the end!
With Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley, our senseis and students must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai — the world championships of karate.

Ralph Macchio and William Zabka return once again as their iconic Karate Kid characters Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, with returning fan favorite cast members including Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Peyton List, Vanessa Rubio, and Griffin Santopietro. Martin Kove hits it out of the park one more time in the villainous role of John Kreese from the classic original films, with 90’s action star Thomas Ian Griffith back as the snake in the grass villain Terry Silver who was first seen in The Karate Kid Part III. Yuji Okumoto is back as Chozen Toguchi from The Karate Kid Part II.
C.S. Lee (Dexter, Avatar: The Last Airbender) will “portray Master Kim Sun-Young, a character that has previously appeared only in flashback form by Jun Chong in The Karate Kid and later Don Lee in Cobra Kai. Master Kim is presumed dead and at this time it is unknown whether Lee will appear in flashback form only.” Per Deadline.
The last season of the show was delayed, like so many other projects, due to the writers and actors strikes of last year but I feel that this one will be well worth the wait.
The ending of Cobra Kai will not be the last we here of The Karate Kid universe as a new film is set to hit in 2025 with Maachio starring as well as Jackie Chan who was featured in the reboot. This has led to speculation that Chan might be involved in the final season to bridge the show and the new movie together as the cast have teased that something big is coming. Only time will tell.
