A big thank you goes out to action cinema and Asian action guru Mike Leeder for sending this one to me and it involves two individuals who are no strangers to Action-Flix.com. Hot off the heels of his success as the action design coordinator on Dev Patel’s breakout action-thriller Monkey Man, veteran martial artist/actor and action coordinator Brahim Chab as enlisted for genre filmmaker Pedring Lopez’s upcoming next level horror action film Blood Passage. Lopez has delivered time and time again with full on adrenaline hits like Maria so genre fans should be very excited for this one. Mix in Chab who has cut his teeth over the years in onscreen fight action in movies like Vanguard with Jackie Chan and Boyka: Undisputed with Scott Adkins and this one is a no brainer for viewers. Mixing hyper-kinetic and balls to the wall action set pieces with unbridled, scream inducing horror elements, the movie tells the riveting story of an elite private military unit who gets more than they bargained for when they jock up for a rescue mission that goes south in a hurry. Promising action sequences that will elevate the genre to “new heights of excitement and intensity,” officially put this one on your radar!

Blackops Studios Asia and Very Tay Media are delighted to announce that action choreographer BRAHIM CHAB has boarded martial arts vampire action horror feature ‘BLOOD PASSAGE’. Fresh from his recent highly stylized Dev Patel actioner ‘MONKEY MAN’ where he delivered dynamic & visually stunning action sequences, CHAB is set to infuse the film with his signature style, elevating it to new heights of excitement and intensity.
The feature will be directed by visionary filmmaker PEDRING LOPEZ, who recently completed prison drama series ‘SELLBLOCK’. Set against the captivating backdrop of Southeast Asia, ‘BLOOD PASSAGE’ will plunge audiences into an exhilarating tale of a rescue mission gone wrong, pitting a private military unit against relentless supernatural forces. Casting is currently underway, led by international casting director MIKE LEEDER (‘TRIPLE THREAT’, ‘THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS’).

CHAB will be working alongside SONNY SISON who worked on LOPEZ’s ‘MARIA’ and ‘SELLBLOCK’ projects. Together they will collaborate to create jaw-dropping action sequences that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats.
‘BLOOD PASSAGE’ is the first feature film in the recently announced co-production deal between Blackops Studios Asia and Very Tay Media, signaling the beginning of an exciting time incross border partnerships for the two production companies and their countries.
The film will be produced by Rex Lopez for Blockops Studios Asia & Psyops8 and Alaric Tay for Very Tay Media. Fred Hedman of Evolution Pictures and GFM Film Sales, and Christopher Shaw, scion of the Shaw Brothers legacy, will Executive Produce; each leveraging their years of sales & distribution experience respectively, to enhance the project’s reach and success.
Yeah, you had me at “symphony of terror and adrenaline” so officially sign me up for this one and readers can expect to get upcoming updates on this one as soon as they’re in my hot, little hands. Chab has always been a favorite of mine with his signature extreme martial arts skill set and now that he’s also behind the camera developing some of the fiercest and brutal action design the genre has ever seen, Blood Passage will ultimately become an instant classic in action cinema.
