WOW! This trailer didn’t disappoint and if you’re a fan of having your action infused with depravity and unapologetic chaos then we have one hell of a wild ride for you with the trailer for Boy Kills World which stars the upcoming lead of The Crow Bill Skarsgard (It). It’s pretty much an acid trip of violence, extreme combat choreography and weirdness all set to what I think will be the greatest voiceover ever. Listen, when you have The Raid’s Yayan Ruhian serving as the Mr. Miyagi to Skarsgard’s character of Boy, you know this isn’t going to be your parents’ Karate Kid. Instead, scroll down below and partake in all the madness and some of the best and most violent empty handed brutality you’ll see this year!
Official Synopsis: Boy Kills World takes place in a bizarre, dark dystopian universe and centers on a deaf and mute character, Boy (Skarsgård), who navigates this depressing world with his otherworldly imagination. Tragedy strikes when Boy’s family is brutally murdered. When his fight or flight instincts kick in, Boy finds himself on a life-threatening trek into the darkly forested jungle. There, he meets a shaman (Ruhian) who takes Boy under his wing and launches him into a cutthroat coming of age journey where he encourages his new pupil to leave his youth behind and pick up the baton as a highly trained assassin.
This trailer, and essentially the movie, has it all. Tragedy befalling our hero, breakneck training sequences, offbeat and vile humor, public executions by breakfast cereal mascots, an epic video game voiceover and one of the most adrenaline pumping action montages ever infused into a trailer. Skarsgard isn’t known for this type of adrenaline laced role so with this coming out before The Crow on April 26th, this might be the advertising they need for that remake to sell some tickets.

The supporting cast is top notch with the aforementioned Yayan Ruhian (The Raid: Redemption), and the sensational Andrew Koji (Warrior) who is like a ninja because simply adding him into anything makes that project better. Isaiah Mustafa (It: Chapter Two), Famke Janssen (The Faculty), Brett Gelman (Stranger Things), Sharlto Copley (District 9), Quinn Copeland (Punky Brewster), twin brothers Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti (Big Little Lies), and Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey) round out the rest of the cast. Director Moritz Mohr looks to have crafted an insane dystopian world that is dripping with buckets of blood, and it looks like they all went all in on this one.
This one looks like it will be one of the top actioners of 2024 so stay tuned for more to come with Boy Kills World!!
