He’s back in action…again folks!!! OK, so basically after only appearing in one and a half movies since 2005, action icon Chuck Norris is now set to star in his second movie in the last few weeks. After the awesomeness of Zombie Plane with Vanilla Ice that was announced, we now have word that Norris is now set to appear in Agent Recon from star and filmmaker Derek Ting. This project is made even more juicier in that The Beastmaster himself Marc Singer is also starring in the movie! If you don’t believe me, check out the teaser image of all three men below in full military attire and armed for war below!

According to Deadline, Agent Recon tells the story of Alastair (Norris), the commander of a covert Earth security task force, calls upon super-powered rookie Jim (Ting) to go on a mission led by battle-hardened Colonel Green (Singer) and his seasoned marines to track a mysterious energy disturbance at a base in New Mexico suspected of experimenting on alien technology. When the team encounters an unknown being of not only extraordinary strength and speed, but also the ability to control mindless warriors, the trio must fight through unstoppable hordes to uncover the truth behind the hostile alien fortress and prevent humanity’s demise.
Yep, sign me the hell up everyday and twice on Sundays. Quiver Distribution has since finished production on the film which is set to launch sales at AFM. Millennium Films is taking charge of international sakes as well.
Ting is best know for his other movie Agent Revelations which he also wrote and helmed just like this one. This sounds like a standalone movie as opposed to a sequel however.
Having Sci-Fi genre master Marc Singer on board here is sensational as he’s always been one of my favorites growing up having also starred in V as well as a host of genre movies. Mashing up Action with sci-fi along with this star power is gold and I might be more excited for this one than Zombie Plane.
Ting talked about teaming up with two fever icons and how the movie would resonate a fun and throwback tone.
“That with Earth’s greatest heroes Chuck Norris and Marc Singer literally gearing up for this, I knew we had to make sure fans experience epic fun. My stunt team pushed the boundaries of my vision for clear grounded action elevated with motivated storytelling, and we had Chuck’s son Dakota come on board to choreograph all of his father’s fight sequences. Moreover, we filmed on the cinematic ARRI Alexa cameras at Hollywood’s most breathtaking sets and landscapes and finished it off with cutting-edge visual effects, an invigorating score, and heart-pumping sound effects.”
One big takeaway from Ting’s official statement is that Norris would have fight sequences in the movie. Well into his 80’s, Norris has always commented on that he’s in better shape than he ever was so as a long die hard fan of Chuck, I’m amped up beyond words. Age is just a number as I’m going to be 51 in December and I can still outdo men half my age at work and more.
Quiver expects to release Agent Recon in 2024 so Lock N Load right here for more much needed Intel on this one in the future!
