I consider myself a pretty solid Aaron Kwok fan as I’ve dabbled in and enjoyed a host of the Hong Kong star’s filmography including Cold War, and Cyber Heist as well as the guiltiest of pleasures known as City Under Siege. Who can forget the time he teamed up with international action star Mark Dacascos in 2000’s China Strike Force. Any movie that has a climatic finale fight with none other than Coolio on the side of a skyscraper is good in my book. I mean, come one…Coolio?! I would have loved to have seen how much alcohol was consumed in that meeting whine developing the film. Yeah forget Dacascos for the finale, let’s get rap star Coolio!!!
Kwok is one versatile actor having tried his hand at several genres and with some rather decent results and a few misses, he’s quietly assembled himself as a solid leading man. Unsung in my book to say the least.
Anyway. I digress as Kwok is starring once again in the new action-comedy Rob N Roll (the title alone warrants a watch) as he plays a professional thief who teams up with two inept middle aged wannabes with side splitting results. Chaos, hijinks and signature Hong Kong action set pieces collide with hilarious results.
