I’ve said many times in the past that Netflix is a veritable treasure trove of foreign action films as they are consistently looking to bolster their filmography. There are countless offerings in action cinema from every corner of the world and Korea is no exception and we have one hell of an Angel of Death for you in director Lee Chung-hyun’s newest tale of vengeance personified called Ballerina (not to be confused with the future John Wick spin-off).
Jun Jong-seo stars as a former bodyguard devastated by the death of a close friend. Not ready to just settle, she decides to make those responsible pay the ultimate price and we have the trailer featuring some of the tried and true Korean stunt work and action choreography that they excel at!
Official Synopsis: Ok ju (Jun), an ex-bodyguard, is mourning the loss of her best friend, Min hee (Park), who was a ballerina. As she was unable to protect her friend, she decides to carry out Min hee’s final wish and avenge her death.

Additional cast members include Park Yu-rim and Kim Ji-hun but it’s definitely Jun Jong-seo’s show as she goes full auto on a gauntlet of nefarious adversaries on her road to retribution. Bullets, blood and fisticuffs galore abound so be sure to partake in all the brutal awesomeness when this one hits.
Ballerina hits Netflix in all its Hell Hath No Fury on October 6th!

Isn’t the Wick spinoff also Ballerina?
