Peacock has unveiled yet another trailer for its highly anticipated John Wick Universe series event The Continental. The new footage showcases more Mel Gibson who stars as Cormac , the head of the New York Branch and an imminent war that is about to launch. Anti-Heroes, villains and bloodshed are in full effect so indulge below!!!
“Set 40 years before the events of the films, the upcoming prequel spin-off centers around a young man named Winston, who will one day grow up to be the character played by Ian McShane in the Wick movies. In the prequel set against the backdrop of 1970s New York, fans will find a young Winston as an up-and-coming hitman hotelier who, along with others, creates a haven for unsavory types.”
Joining Gibson are Colin Woodell as a young Winston, Ayomide Adegun as a young Charon, Hubert Point-Du Jour as Miles, Jessica Allain as Lou, Mishel Prada as KD, Nhung Kate as Yen, Ben Robson as Frankie, Peter Greene as Uncle Charlie, Jeremy Bobb as Mayhew, Ray McKinnon as Jenkins, Adam Shapiro as Lemmy, Mark Musashi as Hansel, Marina Mazepa as Gretel, and Katie McGrath as The Adjudicator.
The Continental certainly has slick production values and looks to be a welcome prequel for the hit franchise. If anything, fans will get their fix of anti-hero laced Gun Fu bloodshed so by all means, check in on September 22nd. Try to avoid the bullets of course.
The Continental debuts on Peacock, a three-part spin-off that will be available for streaming on September 22 as well as Starz in the U.S. and abroad on Prime Video.
