Saban Films is ready to unleash to action genre icons on the loose as Byron Mann is an expert killing machine who’s trigger has just been pulled. Robert Patrick co-stars as the scientist who wants him back in a big way and he’s about to set loose an army of perfect weapons in the new action-thriller Dark Asset. In this adrenaline-fueled action film, an ordinary soldier becomes the subject of a top-secret experimental program. Under the guise of enhancing his combat abilities, the program transforms him into a lethal living weapon. As the John Doe delves deeper into the project, he uncovers the horrifying truth behind the program’s objectives and the dark intentions of his creator. Fueled by a thirst for justice and driven by a desire for vengeance, the soldier breaks free from his captors and embarks on a relentless mission to dismantle the program while navigating a dangerous web of betrayal, conspiracy, and high-stakes action.
Byron Mann has always lit up the screen in numerous Action roles throughout the years so it’s a joy to see him back in action doing what he does best. Robert Patrick elevates any movie he’s in and brings his gravitas fueled performance once again.
These types of plots have been done before but it’s the stars and the action that are responsible for raising it to another level. Mann looks in fighting shape and judging from the newly released footage, he gets to turn on his signature skills in a big way which includes massive weapons handling and using his body as well.
