What is one family to do when they are caught in the middle of the massive WWII battle of El-Alamein? Well, they try to still have some family fun and they get action sensation Scott Adkins to go all ballistic on the enemy troops! That’s what!
Adkins, who is no stranger to Egyptian films after being featured in the war thriller No Surrender, is back and kicking some serious Nazi ass in the latest Egyptian action-comedy Matrah Matrouh. Exactly how Adkins shows up is a mystery but he certainly unleashes his lethal skill set with a fury of slo-mo money shots. Check out the international trailer below. Warning…there are no subtitles but who cares as we get to see Adkins go all Ballistic!
The plot is simple, the comedy looks off kilter but anytime we get to see Adkins use his extreme martial arts moves is a definite win. No Surrender was virtually unwatchable until Adkins lit up the screen as a bad guy at the end. Here, he’s all heroic so nice change of pace. Expect the name to change for domestic release.

The movie was helmed by Wael Ihsan and Shaimaa Ibrahim who is also a stunt pro in the industry. Here’s hoping this one plays off better than No Surrender as Adkins was the only bright spot of that film as he played a psychotic inmate who stole the third act when he was finally let loose. This film marks the return of Ihsan who is a legendary Egyptian comedy director.
