Spoiler alert! If you were going excited to see Gal Gadot come back from the dead at the end of Fast X only to be disappointed as you’ll have two wait two years to see her kick ass in number 11, you’re in luck!
Netflix, during its TUDUM event today released a brand new trailer for Heart of Stone. The spy actioner is Netflix’s newest hope for franchise potential as Extraction is well under way to becoming one after the thunderous debut of the sequel. Check out Gadot doing…well…what Gadot does best which is itemize her training from being a member in the Israeli special forces in the new promo below!
The film’s synopsis is shrouded in a mystery. but we do know for a fact that it’s a female-centric action spy thriller and that Gadot portrays an elite special agent named Rachel Stone (get it? Heart of Stone? Catchy) who just happens to be the soul keeper of a massive secret that can change the world. Stone is essentially a barrier between the mysterious organization that she works for called the Charter, which has lost the loss a very valuable asset which is called the Heart (again, catchy title). Tom Harper (The Aeronauts, Wild Rose, Peaky Blinders) helmed Heart of Stone which was shot in Italy, London, Reykjavík, and Lisbon so the action set pieces and story will definitely have an international flair.
Jamie Dornan also stars along with Gadot as Parker. Additional cast members include Sophie Okonedo, Matthias Schweighöfer, Archie Madekwe, Alia Bhatt, Jing Lusi, Paul Ready, Enzo Cilenti, and Jon Kortajarena.
The above trailer is filled with enough adrenaline and shots of Gadot looking sensational and the set pieces look to rival that of Netflix’s other hit Extraction. We shall see.
August 11th is the date to circle on your calendar as Gal Gadot will unleash all kinds of bad assery!
