Remember the time when Sylvester Stallone was set to team up with Jackie Chan for an awesome and high octane actioner called Baghdad which was then changed to Project X-traction? Then Sly dropped out and was replaced by WWE superstar turned movie star John Cena and the movie’s name was changed to SNAFU? Then the movie was filming, had to shut down due to COVID and then was finished but shelved because of the Chinese and their ever growing strict movie laws and censorship? Oh and it was helmed by stunt pro turned director Scott Waugh who directed films like Act of Valor and Need for Speed? Yeah, we pretty much all forgot about it and then something weird happened…
The film is about to see the light and is now titled Hidden Strike! Yep! You heard me right. The movie has another name change and we have proof that it’s coming as new key art and an ultra-cool trailer has just been unleashed! Check out both below courtesy of XYZ Films!
Official Synopsis: Two ex-special forces soldiers must escort a group of civilians along Baghdad’s “Highway of Death” to the safety of the Green Zone.

To tell you the truth, I had completely forgotten about the new Jacke Chan/John Cena action flick once called Project X-Traction as the film has been kicking around for a while now and I must say that now we have some news on the flick, my interests have peaked once again and the trailer looks locked ‘n’ loaded with action, laughs and hyper kinetic utility stunts.
Chan was supposed to co-star with Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone in the film but Sly dropped out due to his commitment with filming Creed 2. After Stallone exited the project, WWE superstar and actor John Cena stepped in to save the day and now co-stars with Chan in the film.
The cast also includes resident bad ass Tim Man who is the action genre’s top actor and fight and action coordinator and has teamed with action star Scott Adkins on a slew of films imcluding Triple Threat, Ninja 2 and most recently Legacy of Lies. Here’s hoping Man is utelized well in the film. Other cast additions include Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbæk and Amadeus Serafini.
Hidden Strike doesn’t have a launch date as of yet but expect it to hit sometime this year.
With Chan and Cena teaming up, expect a good amount of action, insane stunts and humor to go along with the ride so keep it locked and loaded right here for more intel to hit for Hidden Strike!!!
