If you’re like me, then you can’t get enough Denzel. Especially Denzel as The Equalizer. The Hollywood icon has made the 80’s property relevant again with the first two films and with his second to none acting and gravitas to spare, Washington is returning for the hat trick with The Equalizer 3.

A trailer is set to debut soon for the highly anticipated third film in the franchise and Washington will be reunited with his Man on Fire co-star Dakota Fanning who is all grown up now. With that, an official Synopsis for the movie has been revealed and you can read it below!

Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed. Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia.

It’s cool to see that this one will have an international flair to it and setting it in Italy will be fresh and welcoming for the trilogy. Antoine Fuqua, who helmed the first two, returns once again along with franchise writer Richard Wenk so you know that this one will deliver on all levels including action and heavy drama.
