The Russo Brothers Hit Again with the Trailer for Amazon Prime’s New Spy Series CITADEL!

Last year, The Russo Bros. established a new action franchise with The Gray Man and now the filmmaking duo siblings are back with yet another attempt to create a franchise on Amazon Prime this time around, and the series is Citadel which stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas who are spies that work for a clandestine organization called Citadel. Of course, there is massive amounts of intrigue, action and romance to fill the running time for the movie that is set to spawn spin-offs and future installments which are currently filming as we speak. Rather ambitious if you ask me but with their success, the Russos pretty much have cart blanche on streaming so check out the new trailer and a few images from the high-octane actioner!

Official Synopsis: Eight years ago, Citadel fell. The independent global spy agency – tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people – was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows,” reads the synopsis. “With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Jonas) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives. They’ve remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts. Until one night, when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick (Tucci), who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order. Mason seeks out his former partner, Nadia, and the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world in an effort to stop Manticore, all while contending with a relationship built on secrets, lies, and a dangerous-yet-undying love.”

The Russo Brothers produce via their AGBO banner production banner and the series also stars Stanley Tucci. This is a unique project in that the plot will be told through a series of international series from Italy, India, and Mexico with each series done in that country’s local language.

Amazon Prime will unveil our version on the streaming service on April 28th so check it out!
