More news coming out of this week’s EFM has former 24 star Kiefer Sutherland locking and loading for a new hit project titled The Winter Kills. He might not be playing Jack Bauer anymore but this one sounds like he might infuse a little of his iconic counter terrorist pro into it.

Sutherland will portray a disgraced cop pursuing the serial killer who murdered his partner ten years ago — and has resurfaced to kill again. Per Deadline

The film will be helmed by John Stalberg Jr. (Crypto) and is expected to go in front of the cameras this spring in Jersey via XYZ Films who is shopping the hot property at the European Film Market.

“Kiefer Sutherland is more than just the perfect actor for this film, he’s an absolute legend, and I’m beyond thrilled to match his rare talent with a role that will require every ounce of it. I couldn’t imagine a better team of professionals, including Wyatt Russell and Oliver Hudson — my partners at Slow Burn along with Patrick Rizzotti, David Guglielmo, Paul Johanson and the crack team at XYZ to bring The Winter Kills to life,” said John Stalberg, Jr.

It’ll be great to see Sutherland get physical again and will undoubtedly inject his gravitas and shouting into the role.
