With brothers Chris and Liam having tackled being special forces operatives in previous movies, it’s only fitting that third sibling Luke Hemsworth would follow suit.
That’s exactly what’s happening as Hemsworth has been tapped to portray an ex-spec ops warrior in the upcoming thriller Gunner who will stop at nothing to rescue his two boys when they are taken by drug runners. Bad guys just aren’t going to learn that if you’re going to kidnap someone, make sure they don’t have a special forces soldier in their family. The movie will be helmed by Dimitri Logothetis who helmed the reboot Kickboxer franchise which starred Alain Moussi.

The film written by The Fast and the Furiousscribe Gary Scott Thompson follows Special forces veteran Lee Gunner (Hemsworth) as he takes his two boys on a camping trip where the boys stumble upon a fentanyl lab and are kidnapped by drug runners. Unfortunately for the drug runners, Lee will stop at nothing to get his boys back safely, going up against not only the criminal cartel, but the FBI and local police as well, using the full force of his deadly abilities to reunite his family. Per Deadline
Hemsworth recently wrapped production on the action-thriller Bad Hombres which has him starring alongside Thomas Jane and Fast and Furious alum Tyrese Gibson. He also spent the past four years playing Security Head Ashley Stubbs on the now canceled Westworld.

Logothetis will also produce via his Acme Rocket Fuel.m production banner along with Joel Shapiro who also worked with Liam Hemsworth on Killerman.
Coincidentally, Luke is starring opposite his brother Liam as a military operative in the upcoming actioner Land of Bad. He certainly is getting enough practice playing a bad ass top tier killing machine.
