UFC Star Nick Diaz Joins JCVD & Kristanna Loken for the “Brutal Neo-Noir” Action Film DARKNESS OF MAN

We have a little bit of casting news today which involves the currently filming JCVD led action film Darkness of Man. After word broke that The Terminator herself Kristanna Loken was also starring with Van Damme, we now have word via social media that UFC bad ass Nick Diaz has enlisted for the film as well.

According to Matt Staudt, who is a co-founder of Game Up Nutrition which is a CBD brand founded by the Nick Diaz and his brother, Diaz has at least one fight sequence in the film. Diaz also had hand in developing the fight too.

Diaz also shared a pic of himself along with JC to celebrate the fact that he’s starring in the movie alongside the action icon.

Word about Darkness of Man first broke in The Hollywood Reporter which describes the film as follows:

Set in Los Angeles, Darkness of Man sees the Kickboxer, Bloodsport and Universal Soldierlegend play Russell Hatch, an Interpol operative who takes on the role of father figure to Jayden, the son of an informant killed in a routine raid gone wrong. Years later, Hatch finds himself protecting Jayden and his uncle from a group of merciless gangs in an all-out turf war, stopping at nothing to protect Jayden and fight anyone getting in his way — including supposed allies with hidden agendas and nefarious intents.

Darkness of Man is being helmed by James Cullen Bressack who has directed a multitude of DTV action films starring the likes of Bruce Willis (Fortress), Mel Gibson (Hot Seat), and Steven Seagal (Beyond the Law). Bressack also penned the script alongside Alethea Cho from an idea he and Van Damme came up with.
