Saban Films has finally given us our first look at the anticipated new action-thriller Paradise City which is special for two reasons. First off, it stars Bruce Willis and John Travolta who face off in the new action pic and secondly. this is Willis’ final movie he did before he retired from acting this year. The fresh trailer looks pretty damn good as it showcases Willis who is on a mission of revenge after being left for dead at the hands of Travolta who plays a ruthless criminal. Packed with bullets, stunts and Willis and Travolta going head-to-head for the first time since appearing together in Pulp Fiction years ago back in the 90’s.

When bounty hunter Ian Swan (Willis) is shot and presumed dead after disappearing in Maui waters, Swan’s son Ryan (Jenner), his ex-partner (Dorff) and a local detective (Lundberg) set out to find his killers. After being threatened by a ruthless power broker (Travolta), it appears Ryan and his team are out of options,” the synopsis adds, “until an excursion to the closely guarded island community of Paradise City unites them with an unforeseen ally.

Paradise City was helmed by Chuck Russell who has a pretty impressive list of credits in the genre field including The Blob, Eraser with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and The Scorpion King which was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s first big film. Starring along with the two icons are Stephen Dorff, Blake Jenner, and Praya Lundberg.

I’m going to be truthful with you all and say that this looks pretty damn decent and hopefully so as this is Willis’ last film. I say that after the fact that we have learned that Bruce has sold his likeness for deep fake technology. What does this mean? Well, basically they can use Willis’ likeness now in future projects via CGI so who knows, maybe we will get computer generated Bruce Willis in a new Die Hard flick. That sounds like a colossal bad idea when I say it out loud but hey, stranger things have happened.

From the above tease, it looks like Willis gets heavy with the action and is featured more prominently. Dorff and Jenner look to be doing a lot of the heavy lifting in the action sequences however so we shall see how this one plays out come its release.

Saban Films will be releasing Paradise City in theaters and VOD on November 11th!
