Well I called this one a long time ago and now it’s official as The Karate Kid 3’s bad boy Mike Barnes is back for season 5 of the hit Netflix series Cobra Kai. It wasn’t a stretch seeing that Thomas Ian Griffith’s Terry Silver was calling on some old friends as he sets his diabolical plan to rule Cobra Kai in motion.
Netflix has released a series of pics from the highly anticipated fifth season and Sean Kanan who played Barnes in the third film is shown striking a karate stance while sporting one very mean look on his face. Take a look at the gallery below!

The official synopsis reads: As Terry Silver calls upon some old friends to put the Valley in a stranglehold, Daniel and Johnny are going to need all the help they can get to stop Cobra Kai in its tracks.
One big takeaway from some of the images above is that Silver has put some major money into the Cobra Kai dojos as they look too tier with some radiation neon lighting. Also, Kenny, who was introduced last year, seems to be taking a shine to being bad as he looks like a leader. Miguel, who went south to find his father, hooks up with Robby and we also see the main three in Daniel, Johnny and Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) are ready for a major fight with Silver. But what of Kreese, who was framed by Silver at the end of last season and was arrested? Only time will tell.
There’s also the fact that Tory (Peyton List) discovered that Silver paid off one of the judges to ensure victory at the tournament in which Cobra Kai won. It looks as if Tory will be confronting Terry from the looks of the one image.
We also get our first look at another one of Silver’s “friends” in Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim). She definitely looks capable and Silver has amassed quite the army to keep his newly acquired empire. This new season looks to be the best yet and I’ll definitely have my eyes glued to the screen.
The fifth season of Cobra Kai hits Netflix on September 9th so check out the latest teaser below!
