SDCC 2022: Kevin Feige Outlines the Future Phases of the MCU! Teases PHASE VI!!!

After a three year absence due to the pandemic, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige returned to Hall H at the 2022 SDCC and with him, he brought one major announcement after another. Feige detailed the conclusion of Phase IV as well as talked up Phase V and even teased Phase VI if that wasn’t enough.

Feige confirmed that Phase IV will conclude with November’s release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which dropped a trailer at the event and outlined Phase V in detail which you can see the timeline below!

The biggest takeaways here is that Anthony Mackie’s Captain America movie has a title which is New World Order and we will also be getting a Thunderbolts film which fans like myself are extremely excited for.

Probably one of the biggest drops last night is that Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio will indeed return in an all-new 18 episode series called Daredevil: Born Again. Teaser key art is below!

Marvel and Feige also shared the new key art for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania:

The release dates for all of these upcoming projects is as follows:

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will hit theaters on February 17, 2023. Secret Invasion will stream on Disney+ in the Spring 2023. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will unleash on May 5, 2023. Echo streams on Disney+ in the Summer of 2023. The highly anticipated second season of Loki streams on Disney+ in the Summer of 2023. The Marvels hits theaters on July 28, 2023. The one I’m waiting for, Blade hits on November 3, 2023. Ironheart will stream on Disney+ during the Fall of 2023. Agatha: Coven of Chaos hits on Disney+ in the Winter of 2023. Daredevil Born Again will stream on Disney+ in the Spring of 2024. Captain America: New World Order flies into theaters on May 3, 2024 and Thunderbolts debuts on July 26, 2024. And that’s the complete release breakdown of Phase 5 of the MCU! All release dates are subject to change of course so stay tuned.

He wasn’t done there as Feige also teased Phase VI for those in attendance. Phase VI will officially launch with Fantastic Four on November 8, 2024, and it will wrap up with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in theaters on May 2, 2025and Avengers: Secret Wars on November 7, 2025. This all is now known as the Multiverse Saga which got underway with Spider-Man: No Way Home and this will all conclude in 2025 so there is a lot to get excited for!
