Star Wars Celebration Day is here and with it there are mass announcements coming our way pertaining to the Star Wars universe and film and television. I’ll be recapping all the news that is fit to print later but right now it’s time to take our first look at the upcoming Star Wars prequel series which sees Rogue One’s Diego Luna returning as ANDOR. Take a peek at the new footage below!

Official Synopsis: The “Andor” series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

Disney is planning the series to run five years with each season focusing on an action packed year in the life of ANDOR leading up to his heroic albeit tragic death in the film. The series debuts on August 31st!
