Jeff Bridges is back people and he’s back in fighting form after battling cancer to star in a new FX/HULU action-drama series The Old Man. Based on the novel of the same name written by Thomas Perry, Bridges stars as an old school CIA agent who must reignite his skills of espionage and killing when he’s marked for dearth by an assassin. Take a peek at the new trailer below!
Official Synopsis: Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Thomas Perry, The Old Man stars Jeff Bridges, John Lithgow and Amy Brenneman. The Old Man centers on “Dan Chase” (Bridges), who absconded from the CIA decades ago and has been living off the grid since. When an assassin arrives and tries to take Chase out, the old operative learns that to ensure his future he now must reconcile his past.

Bridges stars along with some pretty high caliber co-stars including John Lithgow, Alia Shawkat, E.J. Bonilla, Gbenga Akinnagbe, and Amy Brenneman.
The above footage looks pretty decent and it looks like Bridges is going to get physical with this role. This bodes well as it appears he has recovered from his Lymphoma scare back in 2020.
The Old Man will debut on June 16th with a two episode premiere event and each episode will be shown on HULU the following day.
