Clive Standen, who has appeared in such action fare as the Taken series and Vikings, is back and he’s looking for a little vengeance in the new action-thriller Vendetta. A new trailer has dropped courtesy of Redbox Entertainment along with new key art for the new pic which also stars Thomas Jane, Mike Tyson and Bruce Willis.

Official Synopsis: When his daughter is brutally murdered and legal justice looks unlikely, William Duncan takes the law into his own hands, setting out on a quest for retribution. After killing the street thug who was directly responsible for her death, he finds himself in the middle of a war with the thug’s brother, Rory Fetter, and his gang, who are equally hell-bent on getting even for their fallen member. What ensues is a tense back-and-forth game of one man’s thirst for vengeance over another’s. William comes to find that the quest for revenge always has the same ending. Courtesy of Jared Cohn

Theo Rossi (Luke Cage, Army of the Dead) also stars in the film which was written and helmed by Jared Cohn (The Horde).

Standen definitely has action man leading status cred and the supporting cast is pretty solid. The first look trailer satisfies with some bruising looking action and heavy drama. The plot is simple but it works for this type of movie.

Vendetta hits DVD and VOD on May 17th from Redbox Entertainment!
