Fans of Hollywood icon and Academy Award winner Denzel Washington will be excited to know that Washington’s third outing as ex-government agent turned vigilante and guardian angel Robert McCall will be polishing off his particular skill set in 2023.

Reports are saying that The Equalizer 3 will hit theaters on September 1st, 2023, according to Sony Pictures. Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the third outing as no plot or casting has been revealed. The only thing we know is that Washington will star once again.

“They have written the third Equalizer, so I’m scheduled to do that. So I gotta get in shape and start beating people up again. I get to beat people up again. The Tragedy of Macbeth and then going and beating some people up. Can’t get any better, right?” Washington stated in an interview with  Collider while promoting The Tragedy of Macbeth.

Franchise director Antoine Fuqua is still in active negotiations to perform the hat trick and direct Washington again. It is almost assured that Fuqua will sit in the director’s chair as he has a long-standing history with working with Washington.
