Vin Diesel has always been vocal on social media through the years. From teasing his upcoming projects to announcing cast additions, Diesel has always used the internet as a way to pump up his legion of fans.
Well, over this weekend, Diesel has made a splash on social media once again as he made the huge announcement that Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson, has officially joined the cast for F10. Jason Momoa recently was added as a villain so this installment is really shaping up to be star studded.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to yourself, ‘That’s Captain Marvel.’ Clearly, there is love and laughter in this image,” Diesel said in the post. “What you don’t see, however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast 10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY, Brie.”
Larson’s role in the next film is under lock and key but I suspect she might be a good guy as Momoa has been pegged for villain duties. We will have to see what Larson will bring to the table.
Justin Lin will once again direct and Larson and Momoa join the regular cast that includes Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Sung Kang. Jason Statham was teased to return in the stinger scene of F9 so I wouldn’t be surprised if Deckard Shaw shows up again. We all know that Hobbs won’t be around.
The latest entry in the blockbuster action franchise is on track, as of now, to hit theaters on May 19, 2023.
