MCU alum Karen Gillan made quite the splash in the action genre with last year’s adrenaline fueled Netflix offering Gunpowder Milkshake. Gillian has been heavily involved playing Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but she’s definitely earning some serious action cred as of late.

Gillan is back starring alongside Aaron Paul for a new action-thriller with a twist. From director Riley Stearns (The Art of Self-Defense), the new film is called Dual and this time Gillian is prepping for war. The only problem is, she has to face off against herself. Official Synopsis: Upon receiving a terminal diagnosis, Sarah opts for a cloning procedure to ease her loss on her friends and family. When she makes a sudden and miraculous recovery, her attempts to have her clone decommissioned fail and lead to a court-mandated duel to the death. Now she has one year to train her body and mind for the fight of her life.

The film also stars Beulah Koale who was featured in the last few seasons of the CBS reboot Hawaii 5-O.

This film gives me a vibe of The One which starred Jet Li as Gillan will be taking on herself. I know it won’t feature the expert choreography of Li in his prime but this one still looks like a nail crunching good time.

Dual is set for a theatrical launch in theaters on April 15th!
