We are only ten days away from the highly anticipated premiere of Paramount+’s newest original series Halo which adapts the best-selling video game into a TV series featuring breathtaking visuals and visceral action. Pablo Schreiber (Den of Thieves) leads the charge as the iconic Master Chief who is the leader of the Spartans, Earth’s last line of defense against The Covenant, an evil race of aliens hell bent on mankind’s extermination.

A second official trailer has dropped today which showcases more new footage and is sure to get fanboys even more hyped for the newest onscreen variation of the video game series. Check out the newest promo below!

Official Synopsis: It will take place in the universe that first came to be in 2001 with the launch of Xbox’s first Halo game. Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo the series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.

Additional cast members include Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, and Danny Sapani. Jen Taylor also is featured as Cortana who is “the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race”.

I’m a casual player of the video games but I’m all for a new sci-fi action series so this one looks like it’ll have a nice polished theatrical look to it. I’m eager to see how the special effects are as well as the action set pieces which look to emulate the game and also do something different.

Paramount has high hopes for the series as it was recently announced that it has already received a second season order well ahead of the inaugural premiere.

Halo hits March 24, 2022 on Paramount+.
