It’s time to cowboy up as Paramount Pictures has officially given us the world premiere of the new trailer for the upcoming action-thriller The Contractor which stars Chris Pine, Ben Foster and Kiefer Sutherland. Pine stars as a spec ops soldier who is forced to leave the military with no pension which is a slap to the face for all the years of service he has given the country. A second chance rears its head in the form of Sutherland’s character who offers him a private contracting gig, but all is not what it seems. Watch Pine go stone cold killer in the new trailer below!

Chris Pine stars in the action-packed thriller as Special Forces Sergeant James Harper, who is involuntarily discharged from the Army and cut-off from his pension. In debt, out of options and desperate to provide for his family, Harper contracts with a private underground military force. When the very first assignment goes awry, the elite soldier finds himself hunted and on the run, caught in a dangerous conspiracy and fighting to stay alive long enough to get home and uncover the true motives of those who betrayed him. Also starring Kiefer Sutherland, Ben Foster, Gillian Jacobs and Eddie Marsan.

There’s no shortage of black ops action in the official trailer and Pine looks like he’s all in when it comes to one man army mode so expect some great action set pieces and some heavy-handed drama from the sure-fire cast. Sutherland is a welcomed sight for sore eyes and he’s suited terrifically for antagonistic duties. Throw in Pine’s Hell or High Water co-star Ben Foster and this one is loaded with more than just firepower.

The Contractor was directed by Tarik Saleh from a script penned by J.P. Davis.  Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Marsan, JD Pardo, and Creed II’s Florian Munteanu round out the cast.

Chris Pine is all action when The Contractor hits theaters and Apple TV+ day and date on April 1st.
