JuJu Chan Szeto Enlists for the Frank Grillo/Scott Adkins Action-Thriller LIGHTS OUT!

By: John M Jerva

The highly anticipated action-thriller Lights Out which teams two of the hardest working action stars in the industry in Frank Grillo and Scott Adkins has added a fierce Femme Fatale to the cast.

According to Deadline, who brought the exclusive, JuJu Chan Szeto (Jiu-Jutsu, Wu Assassins) has officially joined the cast for the film which is currently in production as we speak. Her role is undisclosed at this time but here’s hoping to she gets to tangle with the boys and utilize her skill set as she has in the past. Erica Peeples (All American) has also joined the production.

Lights Out, from director Christian Sesma (Every Last One of Them, Paydirt), is being described as a cross between Roadhouse and Kickboxer and deals with a gritty and seedy underbelly of Los Angeles where Grillo’s character gets mixed up in illegal underground fighting. Adkins co-stars as an ally who helps him in his war on the criminal element behind it all.

Grillo and Adkins will star along with Mekhi Phifer (Truth Be Told) and Dermot Mulroney (Section Eight, Hanna). The film is currently in the midst of production so unfortunately, we have a little bit of a wait for this one to reach the finish line but it’s on the tippy top of my must see radar now.

Lights Out was penned by the one and only Chad Law (Daylight’s End, Section Eight) along with Garry Charles (Welcome To Acapulco).

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more info on Lights Out to follow as we are your destination for everything action in 2022 and beyond!
