Halle Berry Teases Possible JOHN WICK Spin-Off

Well, we might have to wait a little longer than we first thought for John Wick 4 but the blockbuster franchise is still staying strong in the current news cycle on the internet.

I think we all can say that the extended firefight sequence featuring Halle Berry as former assassin Sofia was one of the definite highlights of the entire series. Not only is it gloriously long but it has so many moving parts to it that it’s almost insane to think how they pulled it off. It has Gun Fu, Jiu-Jitsu, explosions, elite stunt work and two very aggressive German Shepherds getting in on the excessive killing in the extended bloodbath. It’s definitely one of the scenes that I go back to on a regular basis.

While, Berry wasn’t in the third movie for long, she certainly left a lasting impression and even a hint of mystery to how she is connected to Mr. Wick. Fans are in agreement that they want more Sofia in the future.

Well, unfortunately Berry isn’t in the fourth film but that didn’t stop her about teasing a potential spin-off film involving her character. I normally don’t do rumors or stories that aren’t concrete but this one is too good to pass up.

In a recent interview for her new movie Moonfall which is coming out, Berry talked about the future of Sofia and what may be ahead for the mysterious ex-assassin.

“Sofia’s not in the next John Wick movie. There could possibly be a Sofia…her own movie. So she might not be in John Wick, but she might be doing her own thingy-thing,” Berry told IGN.

This spin-off would definitely close old wounds as Berry was in line to get a stand-alone movie for her James Bond character Jinx. The studio scuffed at the huge price tag and nixed the film leaving a bad taste in Berry’s mouth. She mentioned in the interview that this round certainly close that door.

Unfortunately, this is all here say at the moment but Chad Stahelski and crew would be wise to get this in motion STAT. It would be joyous as well to include Sofia in any other John Wick outings down the road as well as their relationship was teased in the third film. It’s also important that a Ballerina movie is also in the works but that one is still in development.
