Filming has wrapped on the highly anticipated next entry in the John Wick franchise and gifts given out at the time may have revealed the full title for the fourth movie. Take this all with a grain of salt though as the name could change before it’s officially released.
According to a Tweet from One Take News, the new film’s title is tentatively revealed as John Wick 4: Hagakure. This title would seem logical as the movie is set in Japan and one big takeaway here is that it won’t be called Chapter 4 like the last two entries were.
“Hagakure, or Hagakure Kikigaki, is a practical and spiritual guide for a warrior, drawn from a collection of commentaries by the clerk Yamamoto Tsunetomo, former retainer to Nabeshima Mitsushige, the third ruler of what is now Saga Prefecture in Japan.” Via Wikipedia
The fourth John Wick movie stars some Asian action heavyweights in Donnie Yen and Hiroyuki Sanada and will be primarily set in Japan.
Plot details are non existent as of now but we do know that Yen is playing the role of Caine who is an old ally of Wick’s. The sensational cast which is worthy of an Expendables movie consists of Scott Adkins who is playing Killa, Hiroyuki Sanada is playing Shimazu and Marko Zaror is playing the antagonist Chidi. Other new additions include Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson (Awake), Bill Skarsgard (IT).
Returning cast members include franchise mainstays Ian McShane as Winston and Laurence Fishburne as The Bowery King. Lance Reddick will also reprise his role of Charon for the fourth film.
We do know that the next film will most likely play off the ending of the third movie where Winston apparently betrayed Wick leaving John and the Bowery King, played by Laurence Fishburne, to strike up an alliance. We can also agree on that bullets, along with hands and feet, will fly in spectacular 87Eleven Action Design fashion.
Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to hit from the fourth installment as we are your destination for everything action!
