Sony Pictures has issued a brand new trailer for the anticipated video game adaptation reboot Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City. The latest teaser features all new action packed thrills and horrifying images from the stripped down reimagining of the popular video game.
Once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland… with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, the townspeople are forever… changed… and a small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.

The new film stars Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker, Neal McDonough as William Birkin, Donal Logue as Chief Brian Irons, Chad Rook as Richard Aiken, Lily Gao as Ada Wong, Nathan Dale as Brad Vickers, and Marina Mazepa as Lisa Trevor.
Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) helms from a script he also written and you can see both similarities and differences to the first set of films. The horror is definitely amped up to the tenth level but the action set pieces are there as well.
Set for a theatrical release on November 24th, Sony also recently released new featurettes that focus on the game and film’s iconic characters.
